Terms of Use (EULA)

Welcome to Croissante. By downloading, installing, accessing, or using Croissante, you agree to these Terms of Use, which serve as Croissante's End User License Agreement (EULA), and the Croissante Privacy Policy.
The Service
Croissante is a personal French vocabulary learning app. Its features may include:
- Vocabulary cards and review scheduling
- Search and progress tracking
- Widgets
- Optional Spotlight Search and iCloud Sync
- Optional premium features such as natural voice playback and member-only app icons
We may modify, update, suspend, or discontinue any part of Croissante at any time.
License
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, Croissante grants you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app for your personal, non-commercial learning use.
You may not:
- Copy, sell, rent, distribute, or commercially exploit the app
- Reverse engineer, interfere with, or disrupt the app
- Use the app in any unlawful or harmful way
Educational Use Only
Croissante is provided for general language learning purposes only. Vocabulary, definitions, example sentences, audio, and learning suggestions are for reference and do not guarantee any learning outcome, exam result, or professional advice.
Premium Features and Purchases
Croissante may offer premium features, including Croissante Plus. Available features, pricing, trial offers, and purchase terms may change and will be shown in the app or in Apple's purchase interface.
If you purchase an auto-renewable subscription through the App Store:
- Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
- The subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
- Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple account settings after purchase.
If you purchase a one-time product, it will not auto-renew.
Refunds, billing issues, and payment processing are handled by Apple and are subject to Apple's terms and policies.
Third-Party Services
Some features may rely on third-party services or Apple system services, including iCloud, Spotlight, the photo library, the camera, and ElevenLabs. Your use of those services may also be subject to the relevant third-party terms and privacy policies.
No Warranty
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Croissante is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.
We do not guarantee that:
- The app will always be error-free or uninterrupted
- The app will always be secure
- The app will meet your exact needs or expectations
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from or related to your use of, or inability to use, Croissante.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to Croissante if you violate these Terms. You may stop using the app at any time and delete it from your device.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The latest version will be made available through the app or the public terms link. Your continued use of Croissante after an update means you accept the updated Terms.
